How the rest of the market looks

Not every ZIP code in this market reads the same way. The Real Estate Data Aggregator tracked the three months ending August 31, 2026 across several nearby areas. Here is how they compare on months of supply, which tells you how long the current stock of homes would last at today's sales pace.

ZIP 30205 (Brooks) carried 8 months of supply, the most in the market. The Real Estate Data Aggregator showed only 10 homes sold there in the period. With just 10 sales, that number can swing a lot from quarter to quarter. ZIP 30269 (Peachtree City) had just 2.4 months of supply, the tightest in the group, and its median sale price rose 3.4% to $610,100.

What the national picture adds

Rates are a real factor right now. Freddie Mac put the 30-year fixed rate at 7.24% as of October 29, 2026. The 15-year fixed sat at 6.60%. Realtor.com noted that mortgage rates surged above 7% for the first time since January 2025. Higher rates slow buyers down, which helps explain why supply is building in ZIP 30214.

The National Association of Realtors reported existing-home sales reached 3.99 million units in September 2026. National inventory stood at 1.60 million homes. Prices nationally were up 1.3% year over year. Locally, the picture is more mixed, with some ZIPs up and some down.
